Roots That Last

About This Campaign

A multi-year school-based tree planting program in the Lake Victoria basin. Year 1 (October–December 2026): plant 1,500–2,500 indigenous and fruit trees at a partner school in Homa Bay or Kisumu. Every tree is individually adopted by a named pupil or teacher whose name appears on a permanent plaque alongside the donor's name. Every host school is supported to establish a structured environmental club with a teacher patron and student leadership, so the trees have institutional caretakers — not goodwill caretakers. Survival target: ≥80% at 12 months, verified by physical count and geo-tagged photographs. KES 300,000 covers Year 1, with the program scaling to 15 schools and 70,000 trees by 2030.
